If I was forced to pick one theme that is common with forex for beginners, it would have to be "fear". Fear of trading with real money. Beginner traders really become too dependent on using a demo. It really has to do with a lack of confidence. Many traders think that the only successful traders are the ones that already have experience. This is just simply not the truth.
